Traditional hosting offers you resources on a lease with pre-agreed performance for a fixed time. Delphi Cloud VMs let you use cloud resources like your personal data center. At the same time, you receive all the advantages of the resilient infrastructure of Delphi’s data centers. You can scale your cloud infrastructure as your performance requirements change. This way you can control how many resources you are using at any given time and how much you pay for them.

Preemptible VMs let you use Delphi Cloud computing resources at a lower price. Preemptible VMs don’t differ from regular VMs, except that they’re terminated at least once every 24 hours. Stopped instances can be restarted without data loss.

If infrastructure uptime is key to your project and you can’t rely on preemptible VMs, consider VMs with partial core usage. You can save up to 65% using vCPUs, while you’re guaranteed to get the share of the core that you buy. Moreover, there is a chance to get up to 100% of the core if your neighbors aren’t using it at the same time you are. This option is suitable for pilot projects and demo stands.

Each VM boot disk is located in an availability zone, where it’s replicated to provide data protection.
